52 Project: Negative Space

Each week, members of the Beautiful Beasties network for international pet photographers choose a theme to post on their blog.  This week’s 52 project theme is Negative Space.   My interpretation involved the use of one of Meekah’s favorite toys.

Next up, please visit Tracy Sutherland Photography in Squamish, BC, Canada.

Tracy Sutherland - Yup, this fits the theme! 🙂 Cute idea.

52 Project: Blur

Each week, members of the Beautiful Beasties network for international pet photographers choose a theme to post on their blog.  This week’s 52 project theme is Blur.   Photos in the project can consist of blur in the foreground, background or all throughout the image.

Here we have Xavi sitting patiently as Reyse and Meekah walk briskly in the background.

And Billy (the newest turtle member of our family) hiding in his shell as George races behind him.

Next up in the blog circle is Denver Pet Photographer, StinkDog Photos.  Have a great weekend!

52 Project: Big Sky

The theme of this week’s 52 Project was Big Sky and I lucked out because the weather in Southern California was beautiful all week!  Meekah joined me as we visited a local college campus and she had a blast posing for the camera.

Please check out InBetween the Blinks Photography in Raleigh, North Carolina and see Tara Lynn’s interpretation of this week’s theme.   And don’t forgot to visit all the links at the end of each post in this pet photography blog circle.  You’ll really enjoy the images.

52 Project: Reflection

The theme for this week is Reflection.  Any expression that can also involve water, light or mirrors.  I chose the latter.

I was trying to capture the recurrence of Xavi’s reflection as he sat in between two mirrors.  I think I am going to give it another try this weekend and see if I can improve upon the domino looking effect.  Next up in the 52 Project blog circle is Stacey Gammon Pet Photography, New York & New Jersey.   Have a great weekend.

52 Project: Something New

I’d like to thank Tracy Sutherland from Tracy Sutherland Photography for choosing this week’s “Something New” theme.  It offered me the chance to experiment with some post processing techniques.  There are a number of Photoshop effects that have been on my list to try, so this week I attempted the task of filling a photo with smaller photos.   The main photo is of a teddy bear that is part of my dog’s play toy collection.  The smaller images are of my two dogs and my sister’s dog, which were then transformed into a pattern.   Added the pattern to the main photo and voila!

Please visit the sites of the other skilled pet photographers in the Project 52 blog circle, beginning with New Jersey Pet Photographer, Stacey Gammon.
