52 Project: Street Art

I chose the theme for this week’s Project 52 assignment.  Street Art.  I’ve been a fan of this medium since my first year in college and make an effort to check out the scene whenever I travel within the U.S. and abroad.

For the project this week, we took a trip to the art district in downtown Los Angeles.

And also made a stop in the San Gabriel Valley.

For more street art themed photos, check out Melbourne Dog Photographer, Ragamuffin Pet Photography‘s blog.  You’ll really enjoy Caitlin McColl’s images.  Have a great weekend!

52 Project: Hungry

This week’s 52 Project theme is Hungry.  Those who have Labs know very well that they have a voracious appetite!  It matches their big fun-loving personality  🙂  Here is a photo of my pup on his quest to grab the last piece of kibble.

Now check out another great professional pet photographer, Tara Lynn of InBetween the Blinks Photography, and follow the blog circle until you return back here.

52 Project: Bloopers!

Each week, members of the Beautiful Beasties network for international pet photographers choose a theme to post on their blog.  This week’s 52 project theme is Bloopers.  In the world of pet photography, these are easy to come by.   I decided to post images of my two models – Xavi and Meekah – who has some fun eating peanut butter off the roof of their mouth.

Check out some other great blooper photos by visiting Raleigh Pet photographer, InBetween the Blinks blog.  And don’t forget to continue clicking on the links in each post until you make it back here.  Have a great weekend.

52 Project: Triptych

Project 52, developed within the Beautiful Beasties Network of international pet photographers, challenges us each week with creative photo assigments.  This week’s theme is Triptych, which is defined as art on three panels that is hinged together in some fashion.  In photography, the images can be separated with a plain border.

This photo was taken early Saturday morning.  A walk to the local park to relax and read the morning paper.  Follow the blog circle by visiting fellow BBN photograher, Kathryn Schauer Photography, Madison CT Pet Photography, and continue clicking on the links at the bottom of each post to see photos from all members.

52 Project: Lines

I decided to make my own an arts and crafts project for this week’s “Lines” theme.   With some leftover color ribbon from various gift wrapping purchases, I cut and pasted alternating stripes onto a backboard.

My next craft project will be to use some of this ribbon and make a fun tablecloth for parties!  Please go check out fellow photographer, Sue Collura Studio, Massachusetts , to see more themed photos within the international Project 52 blog circle.
