52 Project: Man’s Best Friend

My family has always loved to camp and hike.  And always with the family pet.  So, when this week’s theme – “man’s best friend” – was selected I was super excited because I knew immediately that my image would be of my dad with my dog hanging out in a tent.  I wasn’t able to set up camp at the nearby campground, but I think the backyard is a good second choice.

Next up, please check out the Kathryn Schauer Photography in Connecticut blog to see more 52 project photos of this week’s theme.  Happy camping!

52 Project: Shoes

I was out of town last week and unable to post, but I am happy to be back with photos for this week’s “shoes” theme.

My sister has a great shoe collection and luckily Meekah is a good girl and prefers to dress up rather than chew shoes.  They have the best time matching outfits whenever possible.  Next, you’ll want to check out For the Love Pet Photography in Portland, Oregon and see Jayme’s images as part of the Project 52 blog circle.

52 Project: Opposites Attract

George is my 20-year old red eared slider turtle.  He measures a little over 7-inches, but size is insignificant to him as he strucks around the backyard pretending to be leader of the dog pack.

Mammals and reptiles are the best of friends in this little backyard world…it really is an interesting opposites attract relationship.

Please check out the next photographer in the blog circle, Windsor Pet Photographer, NCS Pet Photography, and see her awesome images.

Angela Wong - Lovely!!! I knew that despite warnings, turtles aren’t always the victims in a dog:turtle relationship. My 6-yr old RED [Muppet] terrifies both my dogs!

52 Project: Motion

One of Xavi’s favorite past times is catching balls that I throw on the roof.  He sits in anticipation as he watches the ball roll back down and eagerly jumps up to catch it before it hits the ground. We had some rainy weather in Southern California last week and took advantage of the few hours of sunlight – in between storms – to take photos and experience some “roof top ball” fun. For more “motion” theme posts, please check out the next photographer in the 52 Project blog circle – Quad Cities Pet Photographer, Mary Beth Arnold.

February 1, 2013 - 5:20 am
