The San Dimas Lemon Association packing house was considered the largest in the world in the early 1900s. It was also the first packing house to have refrigerated storage, to use automatic box making machines, and to stamp the lemons with “Sunkist”. Another fun feature of the packing house was the lemon crate labels that they used, which included dogs to advertise the fruit.
In recognition of its history, the city has dedicated a few walls to the lemon crate labels. Here are two with Xavi posing in the foreground.
