The city of San Dimas is located about 20 miles east of Los Angeles along the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. It has a western small town feel and the community is pet-friendly with many businesses catering to dogs and horses. It seemed like the perfect backdrop to this week’s “our town” theme. Meekah, who is my sister’s German Shorthaired Pointer/Jack Russell Terrier mix, accompanied me early Saturday morning for a walk around the old town area. We got there pretty early in the morning, which allowed Meekah ample time for some window shopping and exploration.
One of my favorite things about this town is its maintenance of the old Pacific Railroad tracks. They even have an old train depot that has been converted into a train museum.
All in all, San Dimas is a fun city to visit. Next up, go check out Sharon Stokes – Central Coast Pet Photographer to see more photos of the “our town” theme in the Project 52 blog circle.

Nat - Quaint little towns are the best. I love Meekah’s brindle coat and yellow eyes 🙂
Tracy Sutherland - I really like that first shot, with the contrast between the dog and the dollhouse, the reflection, and the connection of the collar colour with the items in the window. Nicely done!
Kelly - I love these! I’m so glad to see you in the blog circle Karen! Hope you have been doing well.
Karen - Thanks Kelly, things are great. Happy to reconnect with you as well. I am really excited about the blog circle too.
